Hello and welcome to Jeannie’s DIY Corner! I’m so glad you’re here because this little corner of the internet means the world to me. This craft blog is where I share all the projects I’ve done, and the many more I plan to do in the future. Whether you love yarn, fabric, paper, or even a glue gun, you’re in good company.
I’ve always been a creative soul. Ever since high school art class, I’ve loved playing with colors, textures, and anything I could shape into something new. I may not be great at drawing (and I’ve made peace with that!), but give me a handful of materials and I’ll be in my happy place.

How My Craft Blog Got Started
Years ago, I started sewing because I had to—renting a place with odd-sized windows meant buying curtains wasn’t an option. So I made my own. They weren’t perfect, but they did the job, and I was hooked. That simple act turned into a deeper love for sewing and learning how to quilt. It was like opening the door to a whole new world of creativity.
I’ve always been a learning junky. When something catches my eye, I go down the rabbit hole. That’s how I found crochet. One day, I saw a beautiful handmade blanket and just had to know how it was made. After some YouTube videos and a few tangled yarn disasters, I taught myself how to crochet—and never looked back.
Photography also captured my heart. I took classes, practiced constantly, and even learned how to develop film (yep, back when that was a thing). While cameras have changed a lot since then, my love for capturing life through a lens hasn’t faded one bit.

My Craft Blog is All About Sharing & Learning
One of my favorite things about having this craft blog is being able to share everything I’ve learned over the years. I’ve made a little bit of everything—from cozy crochet blankets to handmade gifts, quilts, and photo projects. If it involves being creative with my hands, I’m probably doing it or planning to.
I’ll be sharing project tutorials, inspiration, and tips I’ve picked up along the way. I’ll let you know where I got my materials, what worked (and what didn’t), and how you can try it yourself. Whether you’re new to crafting or have been at it for years, there’s always something new to learn or try.
And I don’t want this to be a one-way conversation. I’d love to hear from you! Share your tips, suggestions, or even questions. I believe crafting is better when we do it together—virtually or in person.
Why I Keep My Craft Blog Simple
I want Jeannie’s DIY Corner to feel like chatting with a creative friend over coffee. No pressure, no perfection—just a space to try, learn, and enjoy the journey. That’s also why I plan to keep the blog as ad-free as possible. I may earn a small commission if you buy something through a link I share, but I’ll always be upfront about that.
This craft blog isn’t about selling; it’s about sharing. I don’t think creativity should come with a price tag, and I want the focus to stay on the joy of making something by hand. Whether it’s sewing, crochet, photography, or something totally new, I’m always excited to explore what’s next.
Let’s Make Something Great Together
So if you love crafting—or just want to see if you might—I hope you’ll stick around. There’s so much I’m excited to show you. I’ll be diving into new projects, sharing helpful resources, and learning right alongside you. There’s something truly magical about making things with your own hands, and I can’t wait to celebrate that with you.
Thank you for visiting Jeannie’s DIY Corner. This craft blog is just getting started, and I’m thrilled to have you on this journey with me.
